From the beginning, we set out to make things that would stay with people for years, even generations. Bags, belts, and everyday pieces made in the USA from global materials—leather, canvas, and hardware—all cut, stitched, and finished with care. The goal was never to create disposable goods, but objects that could be relied upon daily and, over time, perhaps even revered.

Leather has a way of transforming with use. At first it's simply dependable, something you carry, wear, and rely on without thinking much about it. With time it softens, darkens, and begins to reflect the life around it. The oils from your hands, the miles traveled, and the marks from daily use all become part of the material. What began as a useful object slowly becomes something personal, something with memory.

In 2005 the company moved to Jersey City, NJ, where the brothers built a design studio and store, working alongside skilled artisans and manufacturers who share their commitment to lasting craft.

Over the years, the conversation around thoughtful manufacturing has grown. A new generation has rediscovered the value of well-made goods and the stories behind them. We have been part of that resurgence, not by chasing trends, but by staying committed to what we have always believed. The proof is in the patina.

More than a quarter century later, Billykirk remains a brother-owned business, still guided by the principles that have defined it from the beginning.
